The Darragh lab is committed to making our lab and more generally our scientific community more inclusive and welcoming. We also care about making fieldwork safer and more enjoyable, as well as focusing on improving scientific resources and connections in the countries in which we do fieldwork.

Another goal of the lab is to make our science more accessible. To do this, we publish in open access journals, make all datasets publicly available, and publish our abstracts in the local language where fieldwork was carried out. We also are committed to outreach efforts and regularly participate in local efforts to broaden participation in science through school visits and pop-up events. Some examples are highlighted below.
